Following 15 years of translational research at the University of Nottingham, UK, NuVision was spun-out and began specialising in developing and commercialising innovative, high quality human amniotic membrane transplants for use in a variety of wound care applications, with our primary focus being ophthalmology. NuVision is committed to developing more accessible, improved quality tissue transplant therapies through continuous research and development and a robust clinical programme to allow for our products to benefit as many patients as possible 

What are NuVision looking for?

NuVision is searching for a clinical product specialist, a field-based role, that is focused on providing scientific and clinical support to healthcare professionals and other stakeholders on our product portfolio to drive sales development. Our clinical product specialists will attend meetings with key opinion leaders to discuss clinical research, clinical data, and train users on the application of the product in patients. Additionally, this team will present and teach on the clinical literature on products to a range of different audiences. This role will sit within the commercial team but will work extensively with the clinical team within NuVision. This role is field based and will require travel at around 75% of the working week.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a product specialist, you will be attending meetings with key external stakeholders to provide presentations on scientific content on NuVision products to maintain and cultivate credible relationships. These stakeholders may include, but are not limited to, hospitals, high-street specialist practices; key research institutions; physician organisations and payers.
  • Support requests for medical information based on the area of therapeutic interest of your Ophthalmology
  • Grow and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders to cultivate and improve customer confidence with product use.
    • Aid the dissemination of newly published clinical data to stakeholders to provide an up-to-date outlook on published available data.
    • Demonstrate product application and assist customers during their use.
    • Gather external insights to shape NuVision’s product strategy and clinical development.
    • Identify and track potential research opportunities to help NuVision develop meaningful clinical data, whilst collaboratively working with NuVision’s clinical team.
    • Develop and support the dissemination of medical affairs campaigns to all key customers.
  • Attend national and international clinical conferences.
  • Facilitate medical and scientific field intelligence – for example, competitor research and medical strategies, educational activities, structure, and function of NHS – and communicate, where appropriate, within the Company.
  • Present and teach on clinical application and use of the product to a range of different audiences.

 

Minimum Requirements

What a product specialist will bring to the role:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field is preferred but candidates with an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and demonstrated experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience in the ophthalmology therapy area is desirable.
  • Can understand, process, interpret and communicate scientific data to a high standard and to be able to alter your interaction based upon audience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High-level presentation skills.
  • Networking skills and the strong ability to interact with senior experts on a peer-to-peer level.
  • Demonstrated the ability to work independently and flexibly organise their own workload.
  • Ability to work with cross-sectional teams, such as, clinical, quality and operations.
  • Aptitude to keep up to date with scientific literature and clinical guidelines.
  • Knowledge of human tissue regulations, medical device regulation or pharmaceutical regulation is desirable.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Ability to travel 70% – 80% of your time.
